浅浅评一下：虽然沉迷了一下午的kidneygate但还是很难理解这能引来这么多讨论which不一定做了fact check，可能米娜桑都believe they’re the chosen ones involved in this artist discourse。故事的讲述者总是赢的那一个，不是吗？对我来说把别人的切身经验当作剪贴簿可任意涂抹的一角也太无慈悲了。

Reddit这篇文章写的很好，指出nyt和Larson都在塑造一个being weirdly attention seeking的narcissist白女形象。在追溯那封有争议的、证明dorland是个narcissist的信的时候，作者发现那个关键词“her chain”让整封信的意义都发生了翻天覆地的改变，同时dorland的最终目的也终于揭晓: so they can start a chain reaction where everyone gets the kidney they’re waiting for. 因此在dorland的诉求里，她对Larson的不满除却被挪用的信与经验，更严重的是对她本意的严重误读与嘲讽，以及也许很多人已经意识到的Larson的描写对器官捐献本身造成的恶劣影响。

作者在编辑中写到nyt的文章忽视的事实: dorland发起的support group的邀请函里明确指出这是一个分享私人信息的小组，如果她误判了交往程度或支持意愿，被邀请的人可以自由离开。Larson被dorland注意到并非因为dorland是个attention seeker，而是因为脸书告诉dorland，Larson在查看每个帖子但毫无互动，因此dorland私信Larson，如果不方便支持可以自行退出。

Larson毫无回应，然后dorland只能把她悄悄删除。一年后dorland得知这本书后和Larson进行了谈话，期间Larson reassures her that she values their friendship甚至反过来质疑dorland的友谊。这一系列行为被nyt描述成Dorland sending multiple E-Mails to Larson to ask for likes on Facebook。而她们的法庭纠葛也从Larson开始: Larson先提出起诉，拒绝和解，并同时起诉dorland的律师。

最后的最后，作者写到，当Larson和她的朋友嘲笑dorland的kidney donation活动的时候，一名男子在注意到了这次活动并决定捐献肾脏。

“We just started researching it, flipping through on Facebook, on my Laker feed, and I see this girl [Dawn Dorland] walking out at half-court, who’d just given a kidney away… So this was completely my tipping point. If she can do it, I can do it.”
